Business valuations are a core competency of Bassett & Byers, P.A. The valuation staff have performed valuations for over 10 years, and have completed well over 100 engagements.
We perform three levels of valuation. The Detailed Valuation is a fully-documented and supportable valuation which is most suitable for large or potentially contentious IRS filings, litigation, or IPOs. The Summary Valuation is the same as the Detailed Valuation, except the report is summarized and the cost is significantly less, and is suitable when a formal opinion is desired but is not likely to be litigated. The Calculation Report is an application of the valuation models to get a “ballpark” value. This report is commonly used by business owners considering selling their business, or with amicable partner buy-in/buy-out and divorce mediation. Because little analysis outside of the company’s financials are performed, the Calculation Report is very cost effective.
